The Criminal Offender Record Information (“CORI”) laws and regulations in Massachusetts were first enacted in the early 1970s. While they have and continue to undergo a number of changes and developments, their primary focus remains intact. CORI is designed to protect the general public from exposure to potentially dangerous individuals with a criminal past. Organizations that serve vulnerable segments of the population such as Bridgewater Youth Soccer are given limited access to information about prospective coaches, administrators, volunteers and employees who may have a serious criminal history and who may pose a significant threat to the children involved in youth soccer across the state.
Upcoming Season Notes:
As we prepare for the upcoming season we ask all adults that will continue to coach/volunteer for the Fall 2018 - Spring 2019 soccer year please reuse your plastic sleeve and lanyard from the previous year. We will supply you with your new Fall 2018 – Spring 2019 Adult Credential insert. If you have not been issued a Credential insert as of yet, you may be asked to supply a copy of your license and the acknowledgement form.
How Do I Request/Renew a CORI?
If your CORI has expired, or you are new to our program, please visit the Adult/CORI Registration web page to request a CORI. This page is located on the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association website. If you are completing the CORI for the first time, please reach out to Andrew Girard ([email protected]), BYSA CORI Submitter, with your driver’s license and the acknowledgement form.
How Do I Know if My CORI Has Expired?
You’ll want to verify your CORI/Risk Status Approval expiration date, making sure to be cleared through the soccer year (through July 31st, 2019). To verify your CORI/Risk Status Approval expiration date:
- Log into your Adult/CORI Registration account using the Affinity Login Portal link located in the sidebar.
- Once logged in, click on the Applications tab located under your photo, there you will see your Risk Status and your Risk Status Expire Date.
What Type of Photo Do I Need?
CORI photos need to be passport card quality. Follow these simple guidelines when taking your photo:
- Color photo
- Head shot
- Clear, not too dark
Please contact your local organization if you need to upload a new photo.
